I'm Back

Alright back by popular demand... Hello everyone, sorry I am been an MIA BLOGGER lately. Had a very busy fall, with coaching and moving into our house. I am making my new years resolution to make more time to blog, and hopefully my job will allow me the time.

So we are all moved into to our new house. I am starting to feel like I have put a dent into decorating. Everyone who comes over seems to thing it is so cute. I am still not happy with our bedroom as well as our couch pillows. I have not found a color scheme for the living room that I am content with. Originally I tried man friendly colors, shades of brown... Then I added a little lime green for some pop. Right now it is decorated for Christmas so it looks great, but after Christmas the living room is getting a little bit of a girly make over....

After being in a relationship for eight years I can only tell you that living together is amazing, def not the fairy tale I thought it would be, but it is definitely nice to come home and wake up next to someone everyday. Its especially nice to come home from a horrible day of work/ coaching to just fall into Matt and for some reason everything is better. He does a great job of listening to me vent, which I cant tend to do a lot.  It is especially lovely to windex wipe the mirror of little toothpaste dots, to find coffee grinds all over the granite in the kitchen, but even nicer is cold feet on your warm legs when he comes into bed at night from watching sports center in the other room. I think television and movies give us this happily ever after image of how exciting it is to live with you significant other. It def is, but then reality of bills, grocery shopping, mopping floors, raking mountains of leaves in our front yard to realize that a million more just came down again. I am happy we are able to experience this before we get married because I couldn't imagine being on a newly wed high to realize that Matt likes to leave his clothes on the side of the bed and no matter how many times I put his jeans away they end up back on the floor. He says its more convenient to get to and that he can always remember where they are.

I am sure he has NOTHING bad to say about living with me like well I don't do dishes nor take out the trash, but I do find the most opportune times to vaccume like on Sunday when he is watching football. Or how I drop off all of our laundry at my parents house and it magically gets wash and folded "thanks Mary". We have started to develop these little traditions like "furniture time" where Matt says I lay on him like he is furniture. Every Monday we go to Jake's and watch Monday night football for  $5 dollar wings. We make breakfast every Sat and Sun and as some of you know I am a pretty good cook. I have also become a master of lining him up with the electric beard trimmer, which is fun because if you mess up they get really mad.

Here is our living room with our tree that I decorated while, Matt and Sean watched football and pointed out to me where I was missing ornaments!

All in all Shacking up is more than it is cracked up to be... I have also developed a new little saying for all of you rude people who ask when are we finally going to be married... Ask me next time and you will get to hear my clever come back.

I have some fun topics that I have been saving up like... "is that facebook post directed at me", "People who don't know how to re-load a toilet paper roll, aka my boss" and "A sweet little blog about my BF, my little brother".  We are going to Matt's family Christmas brunch at the Metropolitan Club this weekend, I have amazing dress so stay tuned for some pics.

xoxo
